Congratulations! You’ve made it through the Sugar Detox Challenge! Before you dive back into the dessert buffet, know that you’ve “reset” your taste buds. They’re likely more sensitive to added sugar now—and you’ll probably need much less to satisfy a craving. But if you find yourself having overdone it on sugar, here are a few tips on what to do next . One tip: Reach for probiotic-rich foods. Sugar feeds the “bad” bacteria in your gut—so counter that by adding some “good” bacteria back into the mix: pour yourself a kombucha, eat some plain yogurt, or try miso or kimchi or refrigerated sauerkraut—all of which are teeming with healthy probiotics.
