| Hey There Fellow ChartWatchers! | We all know buying is the fun part. You pinpoint a breakout on a new stock or find the perfect entry on a new ETF, and bang – you pull the trigger on a new trade. But what happens after you buy it? Are you staying vigilant? Making sure you're monitoring that new position effectively? Are you locked in on the chart, keeping a close eye on how the trade evolves after you buy? Now, what about all the other positions you've got? Chances are you have an entire portfolio to monitor, right? So, what's your process? Well, I've got good news for you in case you're thinking to yourself, "Shoot, I don't think I have a great monitoring process..." Yesterday on "StockCharts In Focus", we demonstrated how to create a ChartList for your portfolio and set custom technical alerts to help monitor all of the stocks and funds you own. Whether you're keeping track of important moving average crossovers or other specific indicator moves, these simple few steps will help make sure you stay on top of your entire portfolio. Now, since this is something that I actively use in my own portfolio monitoring process, I also showcased some of the specific alerts that I've set up in my account to help track the technical moves that matter most to me. You'll see that I'm even able to bring multiple portfolio ChartLists together into each alert, tracking all the different symbols I own across different accounts. And I can do the same with scans! As an active investor, these sorts of tools and configurations not only save me time, but also keep me on the right side of the charts and prevent deteriorating trades from becoming costly. Portfolio alerts are a crucial piece of my monitoring process, so I'm excited for you to see how they can become an important part of yours. Click the thumbnail below to watch now!
